A fantastic greatest hits set.

Guest singer The Anchoress was brilliant like a cross between Imelda May and Paloma Faith.
They were really good and surprised me with how accomplished they still are, using the extensive and impressive back catalogue to good effect with a real crowdpleasing performance.

f*cking superb!

I don't know why really but i was in tears half the set.

Estranged
... i couldn't help myself.
It was a brilliant set list, much more varied and wide-ranging than I expected. I was also pleasantly surprised by the range and power of Axl's vocals, impressing even with a dodgy audio feed, and the effortless way that Slash can play fairly complex riffs and solos.

Despite their relatively advanced ages, they can definitely rock a festival with consummate ease – I wish I was there to watch it in person.

Just watched Queens of the Stone Age headline set.

Fantastic!

Definitely the opposite of Elton John, who was himself very good even if he did waddle about like he'd peed his pants, seemed a mad end to the festival with pits opening up throughout the set and the crowd going mental for the last two songs.

Groovy dance rock mixed with classic desert sludge.

I haven't seen the entire Queens of Stone Age set yet, but I did watch about half an hour last night and thought they were terrific.

They knew exactly what the crowd wanted and were delivering in style.

Have to say, I thought this year’s Glastonbury was brilliant. Fantastic sets from the likes of Foo Fighters, Guns n Roses, Sparks, Cat Stevens, The Pretenders and more. Plus, The Blossoms and Rick Ashley play The Smiths!
There were also a few other bands I hadn’t heard before but really liked ( Royal Blood, The War On Drugs ).
Also nice to see the lack of all that rap shite as well.
They’ll do well to top this next year.

Fall Out Boy cover a classic by Billy Joel, with new lyrics for a new generation!

Default Bjork Debut

Where does the time go? Apple Music gleefully let me know that this week is the 30th anniversary of the release of Bjork's debut album. This copy that I still have I bought when it came out so it's 30 years old and still looks brand new

My favourite track off Senjutsu I had the album on this afternoon and the closing song is a bloody belter!

It's all a bloody belter. One of my favourite Maiden albums of all time.

I agree, apart from The Writing on the Wall which I just can't convince myself to love, I like it, but it's the weakest song on the album for me, and it sticks out like a sore thumb stylistically.
