Venom are alright, but Transilvanian Hunger is THE black metal album.

Venom!

Don't forget...or maybe you didn't know, but they almost burned down the Hammersmith Odeon during the '7th Date of Hell' tour, back in 1984!

Witness 2:09 (ish), which apparently left burn marks on the ceiling of the venue!

Mr. Fury

You make me LAUGH!!!!!

THE black metal album?????

"Black is the night, metal we fight
Power amps set to explode
Energy screams, magic and dreams
Satan records the first note.
We chime the bell, chaos and hell
Metal for maniacs pure.
Fast melting steel, fortune on wheels
Brain hemorrhage is the cure
For BLACK METAL
lay down your soul to the gods rock `n' roll"

Mr Fury - go back to listening to your Kylie albums

*Note - actually, for people like me, Kylie is the Pixie Princess of pop, so no offense is meant by my statement. Instead, to be named in the same breath as 'THE GODDESS' should be taken as an honour!

Nothing wrong with Kylie.

I've seen her live, pretty entertaining too, she didn't dance much as she was trying her best to sing live, bless her.

Went to see Opeth the week after.

Any reply which states that Kylie is 'good', automatically gets a 'like'!

Remember - she is 'the pixie princess of pop'!

C'mon, just because it invented the term doesn't make it the the best example of it! Also, Venom sound like a thrash band more than what is known as proper Black Metal.

And yeah, nothing wrong with Kylie.

Mr Fury:

Define the difference between 'black metal' and 'thrash metal'

*Note 1 - I was born in 196*cough*, so as a metal-head, I grew up with - Kerrang, Sounds, Tommy Vance (BBC 1 - Friday evenings, 22:00 - 24:00) etc.

When were you born, and what are your roots?

*Note 2 - Define the difference between black metal, speed metal, heavy metal. classic metal, hard metal, theatrical metal, thrash metal etc!!!!

I think your answer will be (in all honesty) they are all the same some, but some of them have more 'attitude'!
