I know I've said it before, but I'm going to say it again

Twisted Sister. Dee Snider is one of the best frontmen EVER

This is footage from a Heavy Metal special edition of the Ch4 music show 'The Tube', broadcast in 1982. Apart from a few gigs at The Marquee in London, it was the first time us Brits had ever experienced them...although they were being touted in Sounds, Record Mirror and Kerrang as being 'the most important glam band since KISS slapped on the Maybellene'

On the show, they started with 'What You Don't Know (Sure Can Hurt You)' and 'Destroyer', before ending the set with this Rolling Stones cover:

Snider's language was VERY curtailed (people who have seen the band live will know what I mean!), and he tries everything to get the audience involved - to the extent of having some very special guest stars appear with them (knowing that Sister wouln't be upstaged) and doing something that Glam bands never did

For proof of what a great entertainer he was, check out his monologue, starting at 03:22

I was trying to think of other songs where the girls name is spelled out in the lyrics. So far I got Velouria by The Pixies, and Lola by The Kinks . . .
