I really like the first one, but the second one really feels like an mediocre TV-movie in comparison, as it lacks the look and feel of the original.
It´s not horrible, but don´t expect it to be as entertaining as the first.

It's not as good as the first, but I still really like it and am looking forward to watching it in HD.

It's probably best to dust off the DVD and see if you like it enough to pay for the BD 'upgrade' or just stick with the disc you have.

I personally think the film looks fine, especailly when compared to the DVD and if it turns out to be a good or bad transfer, it will prob be the best we can hope for, for now anyway.
I could if they bother to reply to my emails.

I would assume the very fact that 88 films posted screengrabs would suggest thats how the final transfer will look, seems a bit daft to post them otherwise. I imagine they're also happy with the transfer or why post it.
And as for some sort of official announcement regarding the transfer, they're hardly going to say "look we know the transfer isn't great but its the best we can do" they want to sell the thing for top whack.
If you can find a way to cancel thats what I'd do mate, wait a few months see how reviews pan out and pick it up for £8.99 in HMV.
You mention paying a premium price for a premium product and i would say thats not actually the case. You're paying a premium price because its a store exclusive, and you'll get it six months before other retailers have it.
