I don't think so. They'd have to include some kind of update for every make of player and every situation where they might think the player would have a problem playing any of the content.

Sorry to clog up the 88 forum with this but I am having real problems with burning the firmware update onto a CDR. It keeps saying "disc not recognised". I have just used drag and drop and put the 2 downloaded files on the CDR. Any ideas anyone?

Usually the forward needs putting in a folder should say this on site if it's need also the cd might need closing and it might not do this if you drag and drop

I tried to watch bogey man on Friday I tried to load up the disc numerous times
After giving up I watched something else then I tried it again and It worked my player has the latest firmware so it must be a problem with the authoring of the disc or the disc menu.

I guess it would be more enlightening if all people with playback problems posted their player brand and model, checked their firmware, and mentioned any possible kludges (e.g. inoffical firmware updates, region free conversions,...).

Apart from that, explaining the problem in more detail may help:
- Can you access the disc's main menu?
- Is there a Blu-ray player error code?
- Does the disc play on another Blu-ray player?

I own a Samsung BD-C5300 Blu-ray player (latest firmware, September 2013), and my copy of The Bogey Man (ordered directly from 88 Films) plays fine.

My blu-ray player is region modified so I can't connect it to the interweb for firmware updates, all discs I've tried in it so far seem to work though including The Boogyman.

Not faulty as such. They had the reverse artwork displayed, so since the reverse has no BBFC logos, HMV etc can't legally sell them, and they had to be fixed. Still available to buy from their site right now, since they don't have to worry about the certificates.

I wasn't specifically referring to this release; it's just the philosophy I have regarding delays.

I'd rather wait an extra week or three for something which has undergone every QC test than have something rushed to meet a given release date, only to have it recalled or new artwork needed.
