But they picked Barbara Leigh.
There's always been this weird thing with film makers not liking Caroline's posh sounding voice, I don't hear anything wrong at all. So WTF were they wingeing about and dubbing her? That's her own voice in 'I don't want to be born' and 'Maniac'. With her in the Vampirella outfit... I sure would have bought a ticket, and it would be on my shelf as we speak.

I used to have the single release but to be honest, I always found it a bit boring.

I wonder why these new Icon releases don't include Frankenstein and the Monster From Hell? Wouldn't it be nice to think they're searching for an uncut print?

In the meantime, can I interest anyone in one of these?

No you aren't. Bdc is correct.

Michael Carreras took Barbara Leigh to the 1975 Monstercon in New York to introduce her to audiences as Vampirella, Peter Cushing was also present as he was to play the Wizard Pendragon.

The film spent a year in development hell after AIP and Colombia both passed on the project, so much was spent on the film that it lead to the final collapse of the Hammer studio. The film was finally dropped in 1978.

What I meant was that Caroline Munro said she was approached about the role.

This is the same Caroline who according to Calum, couldn't remember a thing about filming Slaughter High.

Jeez mate, I'm only telling you what she said! Not my fault if she's wrong.

Sorry, didn't mean to seem picky.

It would probably have been a hit with her in it. Or at the very least a cult classic the way Star Crash is.
