Great to see Red River getting the MOC treatment - this has too long been relegated to a cheap MGM DVD bargain binner, a scandalous affair considering it's one of the great Westerns. Montgomery Clift is fantastic in this movie but so is John Wayne - his character in The Searchers might we more well known, but he's a mean sonofabitch in Red River too... Incidentally, Red River is the final film to play at the dying movie theatre in Last Picture Show...

How does Red River compare to The Searchers as a film? I was very unimpressed with the latter.

I found THE SEARCHERS over hyped, but a general question for all - when does Mabuse, Red River and Nosferatu get released?

Mabuse and Red River on the 28th October. Not sure about Nosferatu but I think it's at the end of the theatrical run which finishes on 12th November.

Dear Friends,

to kick off the newsletter we'd like to let you know of some some changes to the releases we announced a couple of weeks back. Our Nosferatu SteelBook will now be a Dual-Format release containing both Blu-ray and DVD, Red River will no longer be released as a SteelBook, and Dr. Mabuse Der Spieler will now be released in a SteelBook at the same time as the standard version, and finally, due to demand, we will now be releasing The World Cinema Foundation Vol. 1 box set as a Dual-format release.

No, I don't think Mabuse would be very edible.
