Hate to bring you the bad news but I have not one copy of TCM on DVD Have seen it a fair few times though and don't mind it. Probably high-time I gave it a re-watch!

The best film ever made...hmmm.... I think it could be An American Werewolf In London. It hasn't dated badly after almost 30 years, it is hilarious, it is scary, likeable characters, the excellent transition of the main character into a wolf (Nazi Storm-trooper dreams...) and the sfx are amazing for the period. I have yet to see a film that matches all these points. Oh and don't forget Rik Mayall in the Slaughtered Lamb! Last edited by broonage; 27th April 2010 at 11:58 AM. |

One of the best films ever imo is George Romero's Day of the Dead. You've got some great characters especially Joe Pilato's Rhodes who has some truly fantastic lines that he delivers brilliantly. Not to mention Richard Liberty's Logan (or Frankenstein as Rhodes calls him) and his pet zombie, Bub (Howard Sherman). Then there's Lori Cardille, Terry Alexander, Jarlath Conroy, G.Howard Klar, etc. You've also got Tom Savini at the very top of his game creating some of the most memorable gut splattering gore FX ever! Including heads being torn off, bloody chunks being bitten out of throats, arms, etc, bodies being ripped in two and flesh-hungry zombies in various states of decay. Finally, there's John Harrison's underrated score that perfectly accompanies Romero's own favourite movie amongst his classic Dead trilogy.
