Hope you like it C7.

The War Games at ten episodes can seem a daunting prospect but it fairly rattles along and spins out a good yarn.

The special features were incredible and I am watching it tomorrow. I am a big Troughton fan so I look forward to seeing it.

I got a copy of 'The Aztecs - Special Edition' DVD today

The "coming soon" trailer is for...'The Ice Warriors', which is a real surprise!

According the Amazon, the next release is listed as being 'The Visitation - Special Edition', with a date of May 6th

This means there are no releases for the next six weeks!!!

Does anyone know if 'The Ice Warriors' is due to be a "secret" release in a few weeks time?

They issued a statement recently saying releases are coming soon, but aren't necessarily the next release.

Its fair enough i suppose as the schedule seems a bit up in the air this year.

@ Suzi.

Your post on another thread about the way the McCoy era was progressing after Survival and following it up by saying Russell T Who isn't really Doctor Who.

I sort of disagree. Survival is pretty much a RTD Who story. Its urban settings, companion and relationships with friends etc. The Master in a council estate flat. For me it provides a blue print for the series future.

If this was a direction the series was partly going in then it was years ahead of its time.

Interestingly the Virgin New Adventures also used this as guidelines for some of its authors and some of the adventures came down to present day earth with a bump.

@ Hawkmonger.

From the same thread, you say you don't like Survival much nor Ghostlight but like Battlefield.

What the f**k are you on?

Anybody else watched Galaxy 4? It's obviously not the most expensive looking Hartnell story ( or the most complex plot ) but I did enjoy the reconstruction of this story far more than the painful recreation of the fourth episode of Planet Of Giants. And of course, it's great to see a new lost episode.

In all seriousness, Ghost Light and Survival are meh at best, and Battlefield has one of those classic 'macho'brig' moments. "Get off of my world!" Epic.
