The BBC have neither confirmed nor denied the Power animation rumour, telling the Metro that fans will just have to wait until they have something to tell them.

I would say so.

They don't have a new series box set to release in time for Christmas so i think this will be in it's place.

No idea. Presumably we'll find out soon enough, with the story's 50th anniversary being in November, coincidentally enough.

The animation may well be a red herring and the actual series may be released. Everyone is so wrapped up in an animated version that the real surprise may follow.

There was talk a while back about Marco Polo being re-discovered. What the hell happened there???? Anything is possible. Maybe Phillip Morris, the guy who discovered The Enemy of the World and The Web of Fear in Africa has a few more surprises up his sleeves. It's known that the BBC could hold back past discoveries, but I doubt it. There's alot of if's, maybe's and possibles. Would be nice to re-discover The Power of the Daleks, but I doubt it. Maybe more Dr Who material will appear in the next 50 yrs. And we're still missing ep 3 of The Web of Fear. Though I did enjoy watching a near complete story.

Morris was at a talk with Dick Fiddy from the BFI over the weekend. There's apparently a shitload of film found overseas still being sorted through and catalogued and restored etc and now he's into chasing up private collectors. No guarantees but it seems likely there will be some missing Who announced eventually, but it could be a while yet with everything they've got to go through.

I've heard that there is supposed to be some kind of announcement being made in September!
