Some may find this interesting. 88 Films Absurd debuted at # 34, Arrow's Tower of London at 49, but Power of the Daleks debuted on the Bluray chart at #7. Only Power troubled the full dvd/blu top 100 though. Debuting at #20. |

Made the mistake of buying Part 1 of New Who series 9 the other day... and now I wish I hadn't lol! I was feeling magnanimous, and it's been so long since I've seen any Capaldi I was conned into the "it can't be as bad as I remember/perhaps I should give it a second chance" school of thought. Started the Dalek one last night. Managed 20 minutes of badly written, appallingly acted incoherent smuggery before I couldn't take it anymore and had to watch Buffy to save my sanity instead. Dead God Who is bad these days. I'm convinced this once most wonderful of shows may now actually be the worst show on television...     Inspector Abberline likes this. |

Well balls to that, i really like Capaldi as a doctor, i will agree about some of the writing though, he's one of my favourites of the nu who due to mannerisms/ doctorisms it's just all down to the scriptwriters and although there is a fair few clunkers i don't know if it's any worse than classic who apart from these days it's all so companion centred. But then again the Mccoy stuff was very Ace orientated, maybe thats the whole problem with nu who, a companion should be a companion not take over the whole show. i still think you are looking at the classic who through rose tinted glases iank. Half an episode does not an opinion make.
