"There are worlds out there where the sky is burning, where the sea's asleep and the rivers dream, people made of smoke and cities made of song. Somewhere, there's danger; somewhere, there's injustice; and somewhere else, the tea's getting cold! Come on Ace, We've got work to do."

As much as i really enjoyed The Giggle (and sporadic episodes prior to it) i do feel like it's no longer 'my show'.

That ended when the 12th Doctor was shot multiple times by Cybermen and saw the ghost of his first incarnation as he finally died.

What has happened since has changed the very fabric of that show and turned it into something else entirely.

I'll still watch it and hopefully still really enjoy the majority of episodes and i'm sure there will continue to be many nods to the previous show but in trying to compete with things like Marvel and DC multiverses it's taken away the sheer simple essence of a madman in a box saving those he meets from untold threat.

We'll see what happens now 'eh?

Bi-regeneration - one Doctor on the BBC and a rival Doctor behind a paywall on Disney+.

I’ve always said as much as some episodes are decent, they’re trying at times to hard to compete with other stuff and go a bit Hollywood Micheal bay style, bigger brighter more crash bang wallop boom etc, and in the end its decent but a bit souless as well, and some times I feel it slowly strays away from the tension, atmosphere and what made original doctor who good, and occasionally the humour get a bit silly, tbh when he come back bouncing around to spice girls slightly bugged and was ott and daft, first half was exactly how doctor who should be, 2nd half I wasn’t overly keen on, not saying it was rubbish or anything just didn’t grab me.

Bi-regeneration = if new doctor is unpopular they can just bring out the fan favourite to continue.

I just wished they came up with a decent reason why he became david Tennant again, I mean a real mystery not just stress.

"D, Doctor"

"You were expecting someone else?"

"I, I, I..."

"That's three I's in one breath. Makes you sound a rather egotistical young lady."

"What's happened?"

"Change, my dear. And it seems not a moment too soon".

Peri (Nicola Bryant) is left speechless by the Doctor's (Colin Baker) brand new incarnation at the end of The Caves of Androzani (1984)

The Goblins - The Goblin Song

I expected a drunken knees up style song rather than a pop song performed by any singer knocking about at the moment.

Still a song about eating babies at Christmas can't be all bad.
