The Clonus Horror (1979)
Somewhere in California is a secret industrial complex. Apparently well know to certain priveleged members of the inner circles of government, this factory has only one product: human clones! Director Robert S. Fiveson brought a copyright infringement suit against the makers of The Island. The lawsuit cited almost 100 points of similarity between "Clonus" and "The Island", and the court ruled that Fiveson made a prima facie case for infringement. Before the case could go to trial, Dreamworks settled with the plaintiffs for an undisclosed amount. Last edited by VicDakin; 18th January 2012 at 06:22 PM. |

God Told Me To (1976)
God Told Me To (1976). This film has everything but the kitchen sink init, alien abductions,Andy Kaufman goin mental,Richard Lynch as a Jesus figure and err Space 1999. The 'alien abduction' sequence, where a naked woman is drawn up into the cavernous interior of an extraterrestrial spacecraft, features (manipulated) generic stock model footage from Gerry Anderson's science fiction TV series Space: 1999. |

I have such fond memories of 70's sci fi...
...my much loved and missed Grandma used to take me every Saturday afternoon in the 70s and 80s to matinee showings of "Star Wars", "Close Encounters...", "Hangar 18", and loads more. The fact that when I stayed with her on weekends I could also stay up and watch the BBC horror double bills meant my lifelong devotion to the genres was assured.
