Then again i sometimes feel that Argento is somewhat overrated considering the quantity vs quality count... but those early Gialli sure are grand.

i don't think that they where given as full free reigns as we may think, Iäm sure that they had quite restrained budgets then too. And at the same time, it's almost impossible to recreate the aura...
