Love that episode.

From what B_E tells me, MTDS has cloven feet.

I particularly enjoyed it seeing as the one before, Murder in Mind was pretty dull.

Finished stranger things great stuff. Very creepy in places and well acted especially from the three young leads. If you are a fan of 80s spielberg, Stephen king and films such as the explorers, the Goonies, poltergeist etc you will enjoy this series. Has a great 80s feel to it even down to the music which was very carpenter and tangerine dream in places

The only similarity is a group of children its lot darker than any of those I mentioned as I said lots of King infunce as well as a bit lovecraft. But they do take influence from the truffle shuffle scene and lots of other scenes that are nods to other 80s movies

Goonies is rubbish but seems to get mentioned whenever a film or show is vaguely reminiscent of the 80's. Someone reviews the very good Goosebumps a few months saying it was in the spirit of films like the Goonies. No no no, The Goonies is shite. Shite with a fat kid wiggling his guts that somehow millions of people didn't just find plain irritating.

Won't put me off treb, i quite fancy Stranger Things. Hoping to give it a go any day now. Can't speak for Dem, there's a rumour he doesn't turn his telly on til December.

Never heard of it before. That's the problem with TV nowadays, it's all so fragmented...
