Its a Netflix show. So that could be the reason and it only went live on Friday. Most Netflix original shows have been better than most network shows

Didn't bother watching a movie late last night as i ended up watching four more episodes of the second series of Black Sails.

Thrilling stuff and as mentioned previously a prequel to Stephenson's Treasure Island. I don't recall Treasure Island being quite as explicit as this though. The places Anne Bonny gets prostitute Jessica Parker Kennedy to stick her tongue would make Jess Franco blush.

Heads up people

'Robot Wars' is back on BBC2 on Sunday, 24th July between 8pm - 9pm

"New series. Dara O Briain and Angela Scanlon host the revival of the series in which radio-controlled robots created by teams of amateur engineers battle it out in an arena. The machines have to make it through an initial group stage, then head-to-head rounds before the heat final."

Robot Wars - what time is it on TV? Episode 1 Series 1 cast list and preview.

Has a great 80s feel to it even down to the music which was very carpenter and tangerine dream in places
Started this last night, only managed 2 episodes but really good. Looking forward to carrying on tonight hopefully. Also started The Wire the other day, its actually quite good but a bit slow going.

Yeah i can see The Wire is a quality show. Though some of the writing seems a little hit and miss. Some really good dialogue interspersed with endless somewhat unnecessary use of the term mother****er.

As was discussed last week, swearing doesn't bother me at all, just smacks of lazy writing though.

As the two guys behind The Wire were formerly a detective (later teacher) and a journalist in Baltimore, I trust they were writing from experience and how people on the streets and members of the BPD really spoke.

Some of the dialogue really shines and then there are whole sentences composed almost entirely of f words.
