I've been watching Vice Principals, very funny at times, Walton Goggins is fantastic, but Danny McBride still does my head in, something of an acquired taste I suppose.

Just finished the first season of The Wire again, although this time on Blu. Barring the make-up becoming very obvious in places, it's a stunning conversion, you'd never know it was shot in 4:3. As for the show itself, well, it's just brilliant, very nearly flawless.

Watched the three Amazon pilots hoping to get full seasons, Jean-Claude Van Johnson, The Tick, and I Love Dick (starring Kevin Bacon). Without a doubt, the best was Van Johnson, with Van Damme as a retired version of himself who goes back to his double life as an assassin and cover as an actor. Van Damme is great at comedy and being able to take the piss out of himself and i'm really hoping this one gets a full season.

Now to The Tick. Oh dear. Any fans of the 2001 series starring Patrick Warburton (who's an exec producer on this, and who was set to return to the role when it was initally announced in 2014) should be prepared to be disappointed. It still has some comedy in it, but I found it far too serious. Peter Serafinowicz can't even compete with Warburton in the role, and I prefer the original costume too. If this makes it to a full season, they need to make some changes.

Supergirl

Enjoyed this a lot more that when I first watched. OK its corny and its never going to be a classic but it's highly enjoyable with a likeable cast and characters who have good chemistry. Will be interesting to see what season 2 will be like with the introduction of superman as a main on screen character which they said would never happen, will be interesting to see if he turns out to be a better man of steel than Cavill. Will also be introduction lex luthor which could make max lord a bit obsolete as in this his basically a lex lite, I would really like to see them cast Michael Rosenbaum but I doubt they will, and last but not least we will have Wonder woman herself Linda Carter as the president of the united states. But the standouts have been calsita flockhart as Cat Grant and the martian manhunter who was just fantastic

Also watched the first two episodes of Stephen Kings nightmares and dreamscapes as well as the first three episode's of twin peaks which is still one of the most engrossing and interesting series ever.

Yeah, I doubt we'd ever see Rosenbaum. They wouldn't give us Tom Welling as Superman (which a lot of people, including me, would've loved to have seen), so I can't see them bringing back a former actor to play Lex, unfortunately.

I need to dig out my Nightmares and Dreamscapes dvd, I remember really enjoying it.

It would of been nice to see welling and rosenbaum but I wonder if welling might be to old wasn't he in his mid to late 20s when smallvile started? But as they also cast Helen slater and Dean Cain as Kara's adopted parents why not Rosenbaum/Welling
