I didn't know it was by Roald Dahl either because the dialogue in the film references the Alfred Hitchcock Presents episode with Steve McQueen, which the characters (erroneously) call 'The Man from Rio'.

The Man from the Sea, The Man from Rio and The Man from Hollywood. The clue is definitely in the title.

Not that i had any idea until i watched the first episode from the Tales box set several years ago.

THE WALKING DEAD S8 EP10 "The Lost and the Plunderers"

Several character episodes that become linked in to one story.
Good episode. The best in long while.

ASH V EVIL DEAD S3 EP2 "Booth Three"

Ash is caught with his pants down when evil comes a calling at the sperm bank.
Another good gross out episode.

Stranger Things. Finished the first season last night. Generally speaking, very enjoyable indeed. Really does have the feel of an 80s movie, not just with the setting, but the style, the synth music, the heavy Spielbergian emphasis on the child characters etc. But at the end of the day it was also a good story, well told. I was worried initially it might be one of those LOST things that go on forever without telling you WTF is going on or being resolved, but no, it actually told a story with a beginning, middle and end in 8 episodes. So presumably the second season will be a different albeit connected plot (otherwise known as the Buffy approach, which I very much like).
The 2nd season is already on its way.

Watching season 2 of.

See a few reviews have complained it's too slow moving and character driven, wtf have they seen any of the other Netflix marvel shows?

Watched first episode and enjoyed it an excellent performance from Krysten Ritter

Round at mates we watched the entire Sammy J & Randy, daft Aussie sitcom and an anime called Space Dandy (a recommemdation). Both enjoyable. Also watched some Trailer Park Boys ( the London episode ... which wasn't as good as the series can be ... RIP Jim Lahey)
