Watching American Gods episode one, Gaiman and Fuller so it should be good.

Edit

Think I'll like it five minutes in blood flowing and arms and legs hacked off and a man skewed with arrows so he looks like a porcupine. Not read the book but looks like it will be close to the source material unlike Lucifer.

Three episodes into the third season of The Walking Dead – brutal stuff so far. It is also superbly realised and compelling, so I plan to watch another three episodes this evening.

Finished episode one of american gods, bloody, violent trippy and downright strange in places, well acted and dirrected. I ******* loved it,can't wait till next week. If the pilots anything to go by this could be the best new show this year. Glad now that Fuller went to do this instead of star trek as this show suits his talents.

Elementary season 4 seems to be back on form, and I'm enjoying the story arc involving Holmes' father (Fringe's John Noble). They finally got around to doing their own take on Baskervilles this season too, and it was a rather good and original one!
As Lt. Gregson noted, "Just when you think you've seen everything..."!

Having now watched all but 6 episodes i've now seen the first three series of The Avengers.

I have to be honest, i'm a bit underwhelmed. Although Steed (Patrick Macnee) and Cathy Gale (Honor Blackman) are good (actually so is Venus Smith who never gets mentioned as an Avengers girl for some reason) the episodes are so talky as to become quite samey and dull. The fact they are all studio bound doesn't help either.

Hopefully series 4-6 will improve with the transformation to colour and 35mm film.
