I can't remember Holly in any of the other episodes and I watched all of series 8 again about 3 weeks ago. Worrying!

i also just remembered Lister ranting on the other night about been the last human, what about konchanski , and the ressurected crew?
That was one of the many things I hated about those seasons. I guess Kochanski can be justified as she was from an alternate dimension (just like Ace Rimmer's existence in series 4 doesn't negate Lister as the last human on earth) but bringing the crew back from the dead took away that unique quality of Listers.

yeah he kept popping up in their cells sneaking them info, the problem i find is any references to the past ie luck viruses and suicide squid makes you realise how great it was in past, it had pure classic episodes every season like backwards or gun men of the apocolypse or back to reality , so everything that came since then ie dwayne dibbley family, the awful stuck in a screensaver bit, kryten blowing up pride and prejudice and that vist to corrie just look really really awful in comparison. Its liking meeting up with an ex you used to adore, sure they are still nice enough but the spark has gone .

Just caught the first episode of the new series and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I had low expectations after not being able to sit through the whole of Back to Earth but looking forward to watching episode 2 now.

Once I got over the age of the actors and Krytens crappy make up and costume, there was plenty to enjoy. So glad they have ditched the horrible CGI ship inserts as well.

Have to admit I didn't like last night's too much. The Father's Day stuff was pretty poor.

I didn't like last nights either - for me it was the computer taking over the ship and the end being wrapped up conviently

I liked the 2nd episode, it did the Lister/dad thing poorly tho, but I liked the bit where if you're not recognised you lose the right to breathe and get flushed out the air-lock, roll on the rest.

I'm reviving the thread with awesome news! Red Dwarf has been greenlit for an 11 and possible 12 series!

I enjoy the show and can't wait to tune into the new series!
