Is there any comfirmation that the UK Blu-ray of Videodrome is the full, uncut version, or are we getting the R-rated print again, like we did with DVD?

Whaaaat? If that's true, then Amazon really are taking the piss!

Blimey, that is a deal considering how much these normally go for as a Collectors item. Good find for someone who doesn't have it yet.
PS. It's a barebones release for anyone that is interested

Also the Jurassic Park Trilogy and Batman Anthology boxsets are coming up within the next hour or so

PaulD 21st November 2011 12:18 PM

They had Inception for £7 too - not sure if that one's expired yet. Jurassic Park's going on at 2pm I think, price not announced yet

JP is the one I'm waiting for. The Batman BR Anthology is also listed, at 14:30GMT. Retail: £14.99. Could be a good saving for those interested:)

Yeah, I wonder how much the Batman set will go for. I got it earlier in the year for £9.99 from Amazon, I presume it'll be cheaper than that?

I hope so, I've had my eye on this for a while and ummed and aahed on several occasions but if it drops below a tenner, how can I resist? Considering I won £10 on the lottery on Saturday I should treat myself really ;)

PaulD 21st November 2011 01:01 PM

Jurassic Park at £23.99 on Amazon for Black Friday. Already 41% gone

If I only I didn't have my eyes on the Tin version I would snap this up in an instant and just put it on the credit card

Daemonia 21st November 2011 01:26 PM

Give it a month or two and that JP boxset will be even cheaper than it is right now. I'll wait. I just know that at some point soon it will be selling for under £20. ;)

PaulD 21st November 2011 01:34 PM

Batman set is 18p more expensive than when Amazon sold it earlier this year. Bit of a joke.

For that reason, I couldn't get excited about it. I only like the first two out of the collection, too.

Same here, and since I already have the first two films on BD, that anthology is surplus to my needs. Not a bad price though. More of a bargain than the JP boxset.

dream demon 21st November 2011 08:34 PM

Not all that bothered about these two - not at these prices, anyway ;) - but I find it a bit frustrating sticking these up in the middle of the afternoon. I mean, I can't get anywhere near an internet connection during the day because of work commitments, and I dare say that's the same for many potential customers!

play.com are selling the X-men Quadrilogy for 9.99

wayfarer 22nd November 2011 07:19 AM

The inspiration for the Buy More store in the TV series Chuck - Best Buy - seems to be going under in the UK, with stores shutting. If you have an open store near you, they're selling CDs, DVDs, and Blu-Rays with 50% off.
Movies - Best Buy UK

My nearest store is Thurrock so won't be making the pilgrimage.

Crap! I was in bed with a huge migraine all day and didn't even know! :(

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but Blockbuster stores are selling 2nd hand blu rays in a "4 for £10" deal. I managed to get Evil Dead II, so was pretty pleased.

As long as they aren't ex rentals it's worth a look I reckon, surprisingly the Halifax branch is usually full of great titles, I've picked up some belters for a pittance over the years.

Quite looking forward to seeing what Amazon will sell the Toy Story BD set for at 6pm today as part of their Black Friday week. It'll be reduced from £19.99 so I'm guessing £15.

Uh-huh....

That was a good price! I have to admit I find the Toy Story films irresistible. I wouldn't even call them a guilty pleasure because I think they're pure genius.

That's weird. I just bought that at CEX for £6. Not a boast, as mine is most probably 2nd hand;)

I don't get the hatred for that film (apart from the folk who went in expecting District 9 or something) . I'm not a big fan, but it's definitely worth 7 of my pound coins . . .

Not a bad price as the UK set is cut and less extras for £15.

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 28th November 2011 07:44 PM

I've watched that set through and again with the commentaries, plus the pilot episode in black and white and that's a great price -- I paid over £26 for it!
