It was indeed Michael Coby. As for Cameron Mitchell.... well, he should have stayed on the High Chaparrel with his toolbox. At least Supersonic Man has a nice cover though.

The Pooma Man!! Oh DEAR! Pleasence once said it was the worst film he ever appeared in (did he forget Paganini Horror?) though at least it had Sydne Rome to look at.

Whats the Pooma Man about?

It must be really bad if ol' Donald said it was his worst film.

I can't seem to stay awake during Beast in Space, ha ha. No amount of Uranus milk helps with the pain of trying to sit through it either!

It's been that long since i watched my pre-cert copy but it's something to do with an ancient extraterrestrial mask that gives it's owner the power to control peoples minds. In this case it's Donald Pleasance paying the rent as the villain in black PVC!

I think 'actor' Walter George Alton (no relation to David i hope!) plays The Puma Man (pronounced 'Pooma' throughout the film!) who can see in the dark, fly (Superman's got nothing to worry about believe me!) and has one of the worst superhero 'costumes' i've ever seen! Needless to say our good guy has his work cut out trying to stop Pleasance from having his evil way and i think TPM has to be seen to be dis-believed! It's just awful but in a good way!!

The film is directed by Alberto De Martino if i'm right and both this slice of super powered schlock and Supersonic Man are must-sees for fans of so-bad-it's good cinema imo!

Re:Minerva/Variety
There's some great titles in there.
Mya has a lot of those titles on their "to be released" list.
I wonder how they do it?

I wonder if Vipco still have the rights for Zombi 3 & 4, Nights of Terror, The and The Last Hunter from Variety?

Variety have a lot of Joe D'amato films:

Black Eve
Blows, pirates and karate
Blue angel cafe'
Crazy nights
Death smiled at murder
Dirty Love*
Eleven Days Eleven Nights*
Eleven Days Eleven Nights 2*
Emanuelle and the last cannibals*
Erotic nights of the living dead
Emanuelles Porno Nights
Francoise and Emanuelle
Hard sensation
Heroes in hell
House of Pleasure
Images of a convent
Imperial virgin
New York seventh avenue
Porno exotic love
Porno Holocaust
Porno Nights of the World
Porno nights of the world n. 2
Prostitution
Top Model*
Vote of chastity
Women gladiators (The)

*prevoiusly available on uk dvd.

Obviously a few would never get past the bbfc uncut.
