I thought Slaughterhouse Rock was part of the Slasher Classics line though? I wonder why they've changed their mind?

It was. No idea why they’ve changed their mind though. Strange.

We're wondering if the line has come to a natural conclusion. Sales haven't been great on the last few titles.

Slaughter House Rock isn't a slasher film, it's a supernatural horror movie with demons.
88 films released some movies in that line that isn't proper slasher films.

Movies like The First Power (supernatural thriller) and Dead of Night (thriller) aren't really slasher movies.

Movies that deserve to be a part of the line, is Hell Night, My Bloody Valentine and The Prowler.
Let's hope they release them in the future

For me the slasher line titles are often just too obscure to justify paying the higher prices they are now sold at. When they were all £8.99 at HMV I didn't mind taking a chance here and there but now they've slipped up to £12.99 I can always find something else.

There is no such thing as a 'proper slasher film'. You would fail my genre class

88Films have got a sale of the Italian titles at the moment

With the exception of the 'bundles', it seems that all the titles (both DVD and Blu-Ray) are £7:99

Until they ditch shipping fees I'll stick to the occasional Fopp visit.

If you buy four, that will qualify for free postage.

I don't think the line has come to a natural conclusion yet, there are still plenty of slashers out there in need of a decent release. Maybe the last few releases haven't sold well because their fairly obscure titles like Luther and Happy Hell Night. Two of which I'd never heard of before 88 announced them. Luther I know Vinegar Syndrome had released but I hadn't had any interest in it before. There not titles that people immediately know unlike Sorority Row, Toolbox and Just Before Dawn. If the line could be punctuated with more better known titles like The Prowler etc it could help to bolster sales.

Or maybe it's time 88 added another new line 'Forgotten Horror Gems' or something?
