the dvds I own have all been brought here in the u.k from hmv/or similar.
am I missing anything, as I really would like to own uncut versions of these films.

thanks
All the original 7 Friday sequel films are cut, they always have been. The gore was cut before they were released in cinemas.

The BBFC cut Friday 13th Pt V - A New Beginning for Theatrical/Video release by over a minute, but the cuts are restored. The same goes for Parts 3,4, 7 & 8,where the cuts amounted to a few seconds here & there (Part 4 suffered the most cuts next to Part 5).Most of these were just cut for video including a silly 1 second cut from Jason Takes Manhattan (Butterfly knife twirling) ,but again are now all restored for dvd. However the majority of the films suffered MPAA cuts in the states & these are either lost or included as extras footage on the US S.E releases though in the case of Part 7 the footage is in poor shape. The good news is that Friday 13th: Jason Goes To Hell is considerably longer than the old UK video version, restoring lots of missing gore. This is because only the 'R' rated version had previously been released here.

PART V-Still the only film on the poll with no votes.

It doesn't seem to be getting much cheaper anywhere. Amazon UK have it for £77.89, EBay US you can pick it up for around $100.00 up to $200.00 but you'll pay postage on top. Ebay UK seems to be around £80.00.

I heard we won't get a UK release because of some copyright stuff so it looks like this will be the only set on Blu at least for a while. I'd advise you to bite the bullet and get it if you fancy it. There is nothing worse than waiting for the price to drop and then finding the price going up as it gets rarer!!

Note that it's worth keeping the UK disc of Jason goes to Hell as it is uncut and on the Blu Ray it is the cut version.

Boo is telling someone to stick with the UK censors edition.

Actually having the R-rated release of a film on it kind of makes the set a waste of time as you are essentially paying a premium price and for one film you don't even want. Especially if you already own any of the films on blu already.

Although looking at it i can see why it's a worthy addition.

Part 2's Jason is creepy alright but I think I probably prefer Part 3's Jason (Richard Brooker), there's something almost otherwordly about the character who's basically become supernatural here. Like most fans, I love the extreme brutality of Part 4's Jason (Ted White) whereas Part 5 is a joke and Part 6 better but overall the later Kane Hodder bodybuilding Jason does nothing for me in terms of frights. The latest film had a pretty good Jason, I'm surprised there's been no new follow-up.
