Mark Kermode is one of the most famous film critics in the UK. He's been around for a while and he's really into his cult films.

Yeah I think he's been pegged to take over from 'Wossie'...

Kermode knocking!!?? Not on my watch!

I only occasionally agree with him, and being a big league general film reviewer he (as indeed they ALL do) has a slight industry's bitch air about him.
Comes with the job.

But he's still joyously opinionated, is great fun to listen to (esp bouncing off Simon Mayo) and I just like the guy.
Slaps a mean double bass too.

He's still managed to retain much of his own fan personality more than any other mainstream reviewer I know (Jonathon Ross has lost his fan edge on TV, and he is only slightly less of a fawning PR bitch than his piss awful turd of a brother, Paul 'I'll say any moronic crap you want about your shit film if it gets me on the poster' Ross) and if he takes the "Film xxxx" slot I will be happy...and I hope they don't cut his fanboy balls off like they did with Ross.

Otherwise...don't shit on the Kermode!

Got nothing against his reviewing, it's his personality, which I thought was maybe a little played up/faked but, if his bio is to be believed, he really is a bit of a twat and could do with a slap

Apparently he's had the Elvis quiff since childhood, that says it all really!

Going to need to watch the movie again. On my first viewing I thought the film was alright despite some terrible CGI work especially right at the start. I have to be honest and say I enjoyed Diary of the Dead, sure it's no Night, Dawn or Day but it was an interesting idea. Survival is an improvement on Diary I feel and has some great moments in it, but does suffer from some bad dialogue and poor effects.

Think this film will be a grower!

I bought this on Monday and watched it yesterday. I did enjoy it for what it was but I found it lacked in something (other than budget). I knew it wasn't going to top his original trilogy but it was worth watching.

On the other hand it was miles better than the film I watched straight after it... Evil Aliens starring Emily Booth which was a load of crap

Yes it is! And it's about time someone said so. Too many positive views on this turd around on the Net, purely because of that CGI craptastic combine harvester scene....But "Boy Eats Girl" did a similar scene to better effect any way.

Hell of a miracle, given West's track record of crap, that "Doghouse" was such a fun watch.

Oh yeah...Romero...Zombies.....please continue. So far it's still a 'me no watch'.

Well I watched Survival last night, it wasn't what I was expecting. It's not terrible but it's not Romeros best either. There just aren't really any charcters to root for or care about. The CGI is pretty bad the zombie heads scene is possibly the worst. Not terrible but nowhere near as good as it should have been.
