A View to a Kill is awful. One of Roger Moore’s worst. But it’s worth a watch for Christopher Walken… anything with Walken is worth a watch. It has a great theme song by Duran Duran as well.

I think Casino Royale is a great Bond film (one of my top 5), and was the best since For Your Eyes Only, but I don’t think any that Daniel Craig has starred in since have been as good.

Disagree. The franchise went off track during Roger Moore's tenure. 'Moonraker' has to be the worst of the lot. Previously Bond had been kinda believable, but to have him tangling with an intergalactic megalomaniac smacks of 'Oh, Star Wars was a huge hit so if we take an icon like James and put him in space, we can't fail and we will have an even bigger hit'. It's painful viewing!

Moonraker is awesome. Glorious fun... infinitely preferable to these tedious "serious" Bond movies of the current age, let alone the Brosnan cringeathons!

In the title song discussion did everyone ignore the stinker from the last film? That was by far the worst song ever, no matter how much they tried to pep it up with bond-like sound loops, it could not hide that the creep singing it had one major problem, namely that he can't sing - he almost managed to kick the crappy Madonna song into the acceptable region...

I didn't mind it.

As for Moonraker, I can happily watch it, if I'm in the right frame of mind. Yes, it's silly and yes, the villain's idea is pretty much a rerun of Spy Who Loved Me (only with space instead of the ocean) but it's quite well crafted imo. Michael Lonsdale makes a great Bond villain and it has at least 2 all-time classic scenes: the dogs hunting a girl through woodland and the centrifuge assassination attempt.
