You should check out the Prince Charles cinema Twitter and Facebook pages as it seems there are chances to obtain tickets this week if you put your name down they will be doing a draw for tickets for the people who missed out.
I would also check Empire magazines twitter account as they are organizing the event as they may also offer a chance for tickets this week.

I think Jackie is going to be the best of them all though.

I really hope you manage to find a ticket.
Me too :'(

I literally felt sick in the stomach and couldn't sleep well last night cos I was soooo angry for not knowing about it

Cheers, I've had a look through all their posts and can't find anything of the sort

To those who missed out, let us know if you want your name put into a raffle and if returns come in we'll draw names out of a hat.

Which of his films are worth getting on Blu Ray at the moment? I have Drunken Master 2 and a couple of his newer films like Little Big Soldier, but I haven't yet picked up any of his classics on Blu Ray.

Would you guys recommend any releases?

Unfortunately all of his classics (I assume you mean the 70's to 80's range) are only upscales via Kam&Ronson so not really any to choose from.

Like you say all his modern films look fine, Rumble in the Bronx is true HD but there are issues with the Brightness.

Although still an upscale, the UK release of Armour of God 2 (Operation Condor) is the original uncut Chinese edit which is a result, after expecting the US cut.

Police Story has had a proper remaster but it was only released as a Steelbook in Japan and has no English subs

So all in all there isn't any too worthy of an upgrade to be fair, I'm still trying to collect them anyway as I doubt anyone will fund proper restorations (unless I win the lottery).
The upscales should still look better than their DVD counterparts but it's personal discretion whether they're worth it for you

Whoop whoop! I got tickets. My Dad and I are going tonight to the PCC. My Dad is the reason I became obsessed with JC when I was an impressionable 10 year old boy. Seemed only fair to bring him along. I'm so excited

Everyone enjoy themselves?

I had such an amazing evening, Jackie was such a nice and funny guy. To be in the same room as Jackie Chan was such a surreal experience and watching him drive away waving out of the sun roof was hilarious.

I enjoyed the film a lot more this time around too. I had seen it before but it was a great atmosphere watching it in a room of Jackie fans and I appreciated the action more, even if the plot is still a bit on the silly side.

Had a great time too. I even got to stand up and ask a question too. I can die a happy man now that I've looked Jackie in the eye and spoke to him.
