(apart from the fact i can't afford blu ray, i'm buying the theory that by the time blu ray might have been expected to supercede dvd, blu ray itself will have been superceded by legal hi-def downloading. and therefore, with the huge dvd collections people have built up over a decade, dvd will ultimately outlive blu ray. kinda like how no one at all will buy cds in 10 years time, but vinyl sales have been on a long, steady and righteous increase!)

I don't think any revisit for this title has been talked about on DVD - I guess the assumption would be that no one will want to buy it again on DVD - or is that wrong?

No DVD is planned - none had been considered - I just wondered if it should be.

A DVD would probably have to be three discs. I can explain that as on the Blu-ray I can confirm the rather tasty documentary 'The Dead Will Walk' will be included so we'd need the space. I'll raise the matter but for now it'll be the Blu-ray only.

Also on the Blu-ray will be the producers and directors commentary and various trailers etc are being looked at - it's all filling out nicely!

Same doc and commentaries have been licensed now for the Blu-ray yes but there's more being weighed-up - just a matter of time and money.

If the DVD is packaged along the lines of Caligula (multiple-disc set with extras) then it would be great. My only quibble (can't beat a quibble now and again) is would people re-buy it on DVD? The current Arrow release of the extras-laden theatrical print is still available and can be found cheaply & easily.

I think it's then a question of how many completists there are out there.

Dawn has a huge following so its more than likely people will buy another dvd. I have 2 dvd's ( Arrow, BMG ) of and dont plan on buying another one. Although i would buy another copy of Day of the Dead.
