Murdered Russian diplomat image removed from Batman game - BBC News "A photograph of assassinated Russian diplomat Andrei Karlov has been removed from a video game following complaints. It appeared in the latest instalment of Batman: The Enemy Within, made by Telltale. Telltale said it regretted the inclusion of the image of Mr Karlov, who was shot dead at an art exhibition in Ankara in December 2016. It was first spotted by video game YouTube vloggers Bro Team Pill, and screenshots of it went viral. "Imagine finding a picture online of an actual murdered diplomat and putting it into your Batman game," the user Dont_Look_Back posted on the Telltale Games forum. "It's unprofessional, disrespectful and despicable. The man was murdered in front of the camera." Telltale apologised in a statement and said the game had been updated to remove the picture across all platforms. "We regret this incident occurred, and we are taking appropriate action internally to ensure that we continue to maintain our high standards in production and quality assurance," said a representative."

Making a video game with images of real and identifiable bodies is extremely bad taste. Imagine how you'd feel if you were playing the game and unexpectedly saw an image of your father's corpse? I'd be shocked, angry, saddened and utterly appalled.

Gladiator (2000) The first printing of the 2nd disc on the DVD release contains a documentary about the links between sport and violence which includes a picture from the Hillsborough football disaster. After complaints from a support group for relatives of the victims the picture was removed from subsequent pressings but old copies are still in circulation I wonder if the Blu ray had this removed also? |

To me that is different to actually moving scenes about to lessen the impact of a particular sequence ie what Ferman personally did to Henry ....

"Footage of Sunderland comedy hero Bobby Thompson has been deemed unsuitable for TV adverts because he smokes too much on stage. His DVD The Little Waster was recorded in 1982. Distributors wanted to advertise it on TV this Christmas, but were told that the Woodbine hanging constantly in his hand would break the advertising code." Watch the Bobby Thompson adverts 'banned' from TV : News 2017 : Chortle : The UK Comedy Guide

Honestly, I fail to see the relation to Film or TV censorship. Many of the complaints are about politics, though. |

Also, why do you feel the need to mention that... ...but totally ignore the fact that sexuality, violence, racism and Amanda Holden's dress are also mentioned? We know that politics is frowned upon in the forum, so there might be some people who think that you bringing it up is just a cynical ploy to get the original post removed, or to get this thread closed down!!
