I picked this up for PS4 on Friday i have not gotten much time to play it with Fallout but its nice to have a brainless shooter that i can just throw on and play a few rounds online. So far its not bad nothing special but it is trying a few different things and there is plenty of content for your buck which is always a plus.

I have only played a few levels in the campaign so far and to be honest the story is totally ridiculous i have no idea what the hell is going on. There is talk on chips in my brain and freezing time and going back to prevent certain things from every happening and then there are armies of robots that just run straight at you. The gameplay is as solid as ever with each COD but the campaigns are getting worse and worse with nonsense storylines and characters you cant help but hate. With all COD games my enjoyment comes from playing the campaign on Veteran i always love to test myself and i have completed all of them on veteran all the way back to the first COD many years ago. But this year we get an ever tougher challenge with realistic mode one shot one kill is what they say i am interested to see how i fair out with that.

With the online they have tried to add some new features like new abilities and you can choose different characters with a list of different special abilities and weapons exclusive to that character. But under all the glitz and glam there is nothing really new here you run and gun and who ever runs and guns better wins. I have only played team deathmatch , free for all and Gun Game which i have always enjoyed so far so there are still a few modes i need to try out.

There is also a Zombie mode but they have made an extra effort this year to make it bigger and better and not feel like its just tacked on. Its set in a sort of Film Noir 1940s with cast will feature the voice acting talents of Jeff Goldbum, Heather Graham, Neil McDonough and Ron Perlman giving their likenesses to the characters. Its a really fun mode with a few friends.

Overall its a really great package with plenty of value for money but i will never be 100% happy until we are back in the muddy fields of Germany or Russia or the French Countryside taking out Nazis with my M1 Carbine,M1A1 Thompson or taking out a Tank with a Panzerfaust plucked from a Nazi barracks. We can always dream
