Cult Labs - What Have You Bought Recently?

I watched the colourised version of Plan 9 from Outer Space last night and, because I had only seen it in black and white, was expecting the worst. I was therefore pleasantly surprised by how well the film looks in colour and how the colour effects were used, with one alien momentarily turning green after being punched!

Usually, if something was shot in monochrome, it was done for aesthetic reasons and looks horrible when 'coloured in' by a computer program.

I never bother even trying. If something is colourised I just turn down the colour and watch it in b&w.

I've only seen the Italian dvd of MURDER OBSESSION and didn't like it but I've seen some screen grabs from the BD and it looks a HUGE upgrade so I'll probably pick it up.

I've never seen it, so will be able to watch it without any preconceptions. The main feature on the disc is with Italian audio and the English version is one of the bonus features. There's also a decent booklet and several interviews to look through afterwards.

I thought it was terrible but then the print on Raro's Italian DVD was very poor and I watched it with the English dub so I no doubt that played a part in me disliking it. Hopefully seeing it in a better print with the Italian track my opinion will change.

This is region free, yeah? I know BluBeaver have said it is, but they've been wrong before, and the places I usually check (PlanetAxel, Movietyme and Blu-ray.com) haven't updated a status on it yet. I really should get this ordered before Axel's free shipping promotion ends.
