As money is tight at the mo I've had to be a bit selective on what I'm buying till next pay day.

Fortunately, one of my guilty pleasures are the films of a certain Mr Van Damme, so I've managed to fill a few holes in my collection very cheaply.

Picked these up....

Second in Command/Until Death/UniSol: The Return were £5 for all three from That's Entertainment.

Double Impact was £5 off Ebay (doesn't look as though it's even been played!)

The Shepherd was 18p from Amazon Marketplace & Knock Off was 1p, also from Amazon Marketplace. :D

It's still in the shrinkwrap, so I wouldn't know about that. However, if it's anything like the check disc I have, it looks and sounds astonishing.

£14.47 from Amazon. I'm hoping that the BD of Hot Fuzz has the Tarantino/Wright commentary track as I've read conflicting things but can't find a definitive answer.

I also now have a spare brand new (probably not sealed, not sure yet) copy of Scott Pilgrim on BD if anyone fancies a trade/sale?

I picked up Optimum's BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF today.

Only a score from your local friendly, neighbourhood HMV!

Bought myself Pervert mainly for that fantastic artwork by The Dude Designs but also because the trailer just looks mental!

I bought that a week or so ago but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I remember it being pretty funny and with no shortage of boobs on show, but far from Russ Meyer's best films.

It'll be interesting to see whether that opinion stands up to another viewing.

I'm a bit of a Van Damme fan myself.

Until Death is a good film, with Van Damme playing an extremely unpleasant and strung-out drug addicted cop. It is a good acting display on his part and demonstrates that he has become a much better actor as the years have progressed. Be aware though that the UK DVD of that one is presented in the incorrect aspect ratio. I hate it when they do things like that!

I really enjoyed Second in Command and I thought that The Shepherd was a pretty good film as well.

I would also recommend Wake Of Death as Van Damme puts in another very good performance and the film is really very well done.
