To my reckoning a jungle is a jungle not a woodland. Hence why cannibal films didn't come into contention neither did swamp films such as Southern Comfort.

When thinking about 'woodland', I was trying to think of films where the backdrop was dominated by trees, meadows and other flora.

Apocalypse Now did cross my mind but, even though it and other Vietnam War films tend to be dominated by greenery, I thought that would be stretching the definition somewhat.

Jungle is a type of forest. Forests are also known as woods. Now go and clean your room.
