PSYCHOMANIA is one of my favourite films. Wasn't too keen on DARK WATERS though it does have some great imagery in it.

Cool

Watched THE LONG GOOD FRIDAY last night, what a fantastic Brit gangster film that is, perfectly brings the early 80s back to life. Love the way Hoskins plays it(the character is out of his depth, but can't accept it) Bought the AB Blu for £3, last time I saw it was on VHS so this was a real treat...great acting, great dialogue-"Nobody goes home till I find out who done it!" and Helen Mirren. Top stuff indeed.

"Sting of Death". Twisting teens, hot pants, Neil Sadaka doing a ska song, and a man in a wet suit with a plastic bag on his head as the monster. I liked it.

"Blaze Starr Goes Nudist". Blaze Starr joins a nudist camp to escape the, er, daily bump and grind of her life. Oddly it was not the size of Blaze's breasts that held my attention rather the vastness of her back combed hair.

"Ding Dong" and "Merry Maids of the Gay Way". A couple of burlesque shows from 1951 and 1952. Fun, except for the comedy acts.

Saw this for the first time a couple of months back and really enjoyed it, up there with the best British gangster movies ever I reckon. Hoskins is unbelievable, mind-blowing performance.

"Hunter's Blood"

Decent riff on Deliverance with Clu Gulager. (Burt, Return of the Living Dead)

If you enjoyed this, then I recommend giving Villain a go - a great double bill with Get Carter.
