Default What films have you seen recently?

a few nights ago saw the best werewolf film ever imo AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON sp.ed. but shame the re-release misses out on the sounds of the wind in the first scene, still got my R1 though
THE OMEN blu ray - still an enjoyable devil of a horror

The Warriors Way. I really enjoyed this one. Mixing Asian Assassins and cowboys sounds insane. But it works well in this film Also the films ambiance(if that is the correct term for the visuals) were superb, I thought; especially during the slow motion fight scenes

Unstoppable. Not bad, not great but did enjoy.

Watched Prowl last night - not bad if you like vampire films in the vein of 30 Days of Night (which I do, so sue me ). Also noteworthy for being incredibly short (82 minutes with a 7 minute end credit sequence!) Another 'After Dark Original' which, although not entirely original, did have a few creative touches and was watchable overall. Worth picking up on the cheap.

Cool

Just finished watching THE OMEN trilogy, so much better one after the other than a few years apart, 2 and 3 fit in nicely where as they felt a bit pants when I saw em on video back in the day, to me the dvd transfers were nice and clean(better than I thought, tho the first is a bit dark, I remember it that way in the cinema as well) and the sound was great for 2.0 mix(the music in the first in particular) you can pick the box up cheap so jump in. Might pick the first up on blu sometime

It seems like 182 minutes whilst you are actually watching it though.

Watched The Woman this morning, Really well made study of a very very dysfunctional American family who find a feral woman and try to civilize her. Great performances from Angela Bettis and the dude who played her Husband and Pollyanna Macintosh was brilliant as 'The Woman'. Very well written and directed by Lucky Mckee.

It is magnificent. Going to buy Ketchum & Mckee's novel this week.

The Innocents (1961)
Just watched it, I cannot find the word to describe it right now. For now "beautiful and amazing" will do.

JUNK - Fun & gory Japanese zombie movie with loads neat little nods to classic gut munchers like ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS (there are loads!), RE-ANIMATOR, DAWN OF THE DEAD, ZOMBIE 3.

SPECIAL TRAIN FOR HITLER - Dull Nazisploiter from europe's premier purveyor of crap, Eurocine.
