Cut - Australian slasher film from 2000 about a group of film students who decided to finish filming a supposedly cursed slasher film where everyone that was involved in the initial production was killed. Post-Scream self-referentialness with a mix of Nightmare on Elm Street (in the film-within-the film) and, oddly enough, Wes Craven's New Nightmare (in the film itself). A diverting enough 80 minutes with all the typical plot holes and exposition you'd expect from the genre. Also stars Kylie Minogue in the opening scene (presumably so it was a lot easier to sell the film with her name plastered all over the promotion)

MOTHER'S DAY - Rebecca De Mornay in bitchy and evil mood in this good 'remake'
have to watch the original again sometime
UNKNOWN - not as good as TAKEN but still a good thriller
RICKY GERVAIS - POLITICS - just hilarious

She doesn't but the killer does threaten to do that to someone else. And yeah, he has a white mask.

Was in the U.K. on business last week so took the opportunity to see Prometheus (enjoyed a great deal), Dark Horse (excellent comedy) and The Hunter (good but a little cold). Not sure any of them are horrors though.

Just finished watching Clean Skin on Blu-Ray. Pretty good, surprised this did not get a cinema release as it deserved one.
