I'm more gutted that he under used Cillien Murphy as Crane/ The Screcrow AGAIN!

BRIMSTONE AND TREACLE - The original D Potter tele-play. Its grim tableau offers a glimpse into claustrophobic Brit suburbia in the 70s, where a repressed couple attempt to care for their daughter, left brain damaged in the aftermath of a hit and run. Enter the Devil, who causes enough controversy to get this banned from the benighted living rooms of its audience for over ten years. It remains an uncomfortable viewing experience and looms with the anxieties of that particular epoch, which are mostly to do with the dissolution of the social fabric and the emergence of dark right-wing agendas. Not so different to now, with the collapse of the economy and the tory revival - I hope I'm wrong in thinking the whole 70s/80s thing was a rehearsal for The New Dark Age.

Asiapol Secret Service aka Asia-Pol (1966)

A Japanese/Chinese co-production with a Japanese director at the helm, this feels more like a 60's Japanese crime film than a Chinese secret agent film.
Also there's too much sentimental goings on for my taste in the Chinese version (seems there's also a different Japanese version where the villain is the lead character).
Not bad though.

I was expecting this to be better than Inter-Pol (1967) (not a co-production btw) but just read that Inter-Pol is supposed to be a lot better so will give that a try next time.

The trailer certainly makes Asia-Pol look good...

I'm glad the character wasn't more prominent as there were so many battling for screen time – with Alfred, Lucius Fox and Selina Kyle seemingly underused and, had it been a bigger role, the film may have gone over the three hour mark!

I really like the trials as it underscores how well and truly the lunatics had taken over the asylum but I found their brevity maximised their impact.

I've read several times that the dialogue is hard to hear in The Dark Knight Rises, is this true?

The only dialogue that's hard to hear sometimes, is Banes. Other than that, I had no problems.

There was possibly on line that Bane said that I found hard to understand, but as it was in the Cineworld synopsis and on the Trailer, it doesn't bother me to much. So no.
