Best old western I've seen recently was The Ox-Bow Incident. Absolutely brilliant.
I'd only previously seen True Grit and Rio Bravo, both of which I really like. I was surprised that I didn't really enjoy The Searchers. Maybe if I wasn't expecting so much.

Man I've not watched that many films in a week since I were a teenager! What did you think of Abraham Lincoln?

I know. I've watched a lot this week, but I kind of wonder if these people work.

They must work. Or rob banks. It's the only explanation for the 'what have you purchased thread'.

Watched Three The Hard Way. Surely the main inspiration for Black Dynamite?? Jim Brown mumbles, Jim Kelly still manages to kick arse whilst being busy "looking good" cough cough and Fred Williamson...well, is Fred Willamson. Recommended if you haven't......

Combat Shock

Believe everything you have heard about this film

I like to push myself when it comes to 'extreme' movies, but this is very hard watching

Cannibal Holocaust, Nekromatic and Flower of Flesh and Blood are a walk inthe park

Combat Shock - Downbeat and depressing, certainly. I am near getting out the razor blades!!!!

Certainly NOT a typical Tromaville release

It is NOT easy viewing

APPROACH WITH CAUTION

Glad you stuck with it Suzi. It's certainly a glum film, but bears repeated viewing.......

I tried it, but only got about 20 minutes in before my brother kicked me off to play Dark Souls, but yes, it was VERY depressing, and I'm not even sure if I want to finish. Know how it ends anyway.

Due to circumstances, I don't but would gladly swap the chance to watch all these films for regular employment.

As for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, it's flawed but highly enjoyable. It has the same action traits from Night Watch, Day Watch and Wanted because Timur Bekmambetov is a stylish action director and has a fairly distinctive style. Aside from the vampires, it was amusing to see how it covered the broad strokes of Lincoln's life.
