My Mrs had to work so I saw the New Year in with my daughter...... and her choice of films.....

i started the new year by watching AUDITION, ad the clock struck 12 i was watching a crazy japanese woman saw someones foot off with a piece of wire. Thats a fun way to start a new decade....

Watched DISTRICT 9 today-hilarious,gory and the most original plot I've seen in a long time.
Highly recommended!


Watched Alan Clarke's THE FIRM and ELEPHANT as well.
Gary Oldman is psycho supreme!

Elephant,I found to be a chilling,if somewhat singled-minded journey into the troubles in Northern Ireland.

I saw Paranormal Activity!!!

It was utter shit!!!

I think it may even have been worse than The Blair Witch Project...about on a par of gashness with Cloverfield. The marvellous Rec remains the only effective horror film I have seen to use this format.
