This is one of the very few movies where I got bored with it within the first 5-10 minutes. To be fair, i ain't the biggest fan of the first, though could apprieciate it for the qualities it had.

Right of the bat i could tell this was awful with its AWFUL acting from the store robbers, but not awful in an endearingly bad movie way.

Again i agree. It's biggest crime, and that of any exploiter, is that it's boring.

Better than T1. Equal to T2: Judgement Day.

I'm being dead serious, can't believe how the critics are treating it.

I genuinely cannot comprehend the hate that the film is getting from the critics: Its brilliant. I was never bored once because it had everything. Action, humor, drama, suspense, good use of CGI (thank god), Terminators fighting... Speaking as someone who's been a fan since I was 9 (especially of the first 2) I went thinking it would never top T1 or Judgement Day (which is now my joint favorite in the franchise). It not only topped the original, but equaled Judgement Day, something I never thought I'd write.

The only reason I can think of why its getting so much hate is the trailer. The trailer screwed up in the sense that they showed too much, which I think irritated the critics because they were like "seen it, knew it was coming" but I don't really think that was a reason to hate it.

Very much looking forward to it, but not going for another 10 days until the school holidays are over. I looked in at the cinema the other day and God they were everywhere...

I believe that's the first time I've heard/read anything positive about the film! I hope to see it next week and come to my own decision.

I saw The Terminator on Monday and thought it was great – everything it has been on the (relatively) small screen at home, and more. I would go so far as to say it is James Cameron's best film by some distance.
