I'm a big fan of the film but the kid doesn't really improve. I didn't find him half as annoying as many seem to though. Hope you managed to stick with it Dem, I'm keen to read your thoughts.

Watched that Hard Target 2 after all. Fair to middling actioner...not a patch on SPL Kill Zone for excitement...still see Adkins as a beefier Rob Brydon, so that's all he wrote for him I fear.

Rewatched 3 Francos in preparation for this release at the end of the month
La Maledicion de Frankenstein, Bloody Moon and Nightmares Come At Night. Even with the hired gun one in the middle, there is just an atmosphere he creates, much akin to a waking nightmare, in that you really don't know where you're "at".

Much like Mallick's Knight Of Cups cough.

I thought you already had this, Nos. I thought you collected the more interesting BFI Flipside releases. I must be thinking of someone else.
I like both the films you mentioned, and it sounds like a stellar release, so is one for my wish list. I do have a couple of BFI Flipside releases (The Bed Sitting Room and Deep End) and want some more because those are both brilliant.

Is it a good film? Is it edgy or just Cliff singing?

It's about a music biz manager exploiting a young artist! It has a few Cliff songs but not many.
