Dracula (1958, Terence Fisher) This will be the Lionsgate blu I borrowed from mate. Fairly stunning looking to my ears . Cushing exudes authority, Lee oozes menace and is just simply a pleasure to watch again. Reminiscing about the furore at the time, it really seems rather quaint now, reminding us that today's crisis will become viewed with a rosy glow down the line. I digress. Whilst liberties are taken with this, it's still a rollicking yarn. Something they forgot later on imho.... 9/10.

While not as bad as some make out its not a patch on the orginal or aliens but better than most of what followed. A nice visual style keeping the spirt and look of alien, but not an alien film as such, as this is about race from the ship from alien and their connection to humanity. Be interesting tomorrow to see how this leads into the new movie and how/if that leads into alien. 7.2/10 Now watching The Thing. Last edited by trebor8273; 19th May 2017 at 09:57 PM. |

That rare film were the remake is better than the origianl. A fine example of why practical effects in horror will always be superior to CGI. A true classic with great sense of isolation and paranoia and amazing creature and gore effects 10/10 |

i wouldn't say it is the worst, however i will say it is very flawed with regards to its pitch to moviegoers, especially when you sit there with more questions to ask than answers. so hopefully covenant will clear also. also prometheus school of running is ridiculous
