I look forward to reading your thoughts in the other thread later. I enjoyed it too, but there were too many dips in the entertainment levels for me to give it 4 stars, but the high points were really thrilling and I didn't even mind the casino scenes.

I feel like I might like it better on a re-watch, but it wont be until the BD comes out, I'm not making multiple visits to the cinema this time around.

I didn't mind the casino scenes either, although, I think in comparison to the rest of the film, it's the weakest link of the proceedings. It felt out of place, like something that could've featured in the prequels.

My new Star Wars rankings:

The Empire Strikes Back
A New Hope
The Last Jedi
Rogue One
Return of the Jedi
Revenge of the Sith
The Force Awakens
Attack of the Clones
The Phantom Menace

well if you read on line etc most people are saying the same thing about these "fans" the words edge lords and hipsters spring to mind. they hated force because it did nothing new and was basically fan service but they hate this film because it dared to do something a bit different that didn't pander to the fans, is it perfect, no but its a far better film than the prequels and force awakens

also if you look at the negative reviews on imdb etc, most are accounts created recently and a lot of the reviews share a similar writing style!

Say what you like Treb, as you know i haven't seen the new film yet but when we get promo images of Chewbacca in the Falcon with a rabbit...no wonder i feel dubious.

For me one so those rare beasts that is better than the original, Keaton is on great form again and is the best live action batman ,( the best batman is still Kevin Conroy).

As good as Keaton is the film belongs to Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman and Danny Devito who steals the show as the Penguin. Thanks to Burton's unique style and direction the film is like a comic book come too life. 9.5/10

Now watching back to the future.
