The blurb on the back says it took two and a half years to make so i was hoping for a Mars Attacks! type film, albeit from the fifties. |

The Thing From Another World, Invasion of the Bodysnatchers - excellent masterpieces. Tarantula, Creature From The Black Lagoon, It Came From Outer Space - very good. The Incredible Shrinking Man - meh. This Island Earth - never heard of it / never seen it. And after Dem's statements, I doubt I'll ever watch it. Greetings! |

The MST3K episode of This Island Earth is outstanding and definitely one of their best. Some of the criticism is unfounded but, as with every movie they feature, you can't help but laugh because of the delivery and wit.

AAnyway. Destination Inner Space (Francis D Lyon, 1966) Lawdy! Just when i thought this was going to be a sombre exploration of male insecurity, along comes the tubbiest terror from the depths that i've ever seen!! Ahem. Featuring some of the best model work i've seen since Moonbase , this is easily recommended to all those of a fishy bent
