Watched these two last night.

Monster squad.

Fun little movie with a few nods to the the classic universal monster movies. Basically goonies with monsters. 7.5/10

Nightmare on elm street 3 the dream warriors

The best of the sequels. Even though the wizard master is lame, it is a fantastic film and for me it has the best kill of all the nightmare movies. Nice to see the character of Nancy back for me the only true foe worthy of Freddy. Also builds on lore of Freddy with introducing his mother and how he was conceived. 8.5/10 without the wizard master this would of been a 9.

Yeah, the whole point is that Chucky is a Good Guy doll which was possessed by Charles Lee Ray and has, in various films, been cut up and mangled and then stitched back together.

Zardoz

Wished someone with some sense and some scissors would have gone to work on the script. Focusing more on Zardoz floating around giving the orders, and Sean Connery and his men going around slaughtering folk, set to the music of Beethoven. With the truth revealed in the last third.

Tried watching The Devil's Nightmare two nights in a row, but fell asleep during the first half hour on both nights. Given up and posted it back to Lovefilm, hope I've not missed a classic

Got that Nordic horror Next Door to try and watch tonight . . .

Psh, I'll probably have to rent it again at some point then. All I can remember is the baby stabbing at the start . . .

Stagefright. Yearly viewing of Soavi's slasher. Like Phenomena, a different soundtrack would empower this film a lot imo.

Two Undercover Angels. No, it just isn't the same as KMM. But the next time I watch that, the lunacy will be even more lunatic...

The last film on disc 3: "Gamera the Invincible" 1966
Reasonable picture and sound, reasonable film. I like Daikaiju, I can't help it. I would have loved to have seen this flick when it was new, when I was an impressionable six year old, I'd have been even more into Japanese Monsters than I already am!

15/10 for flying saucer turtles, my favourite kind!

Tell me about it... The same happened to me with Hooper's Eaten Alive - four times! I have yet to see more than thirty minutes of the film...
