Bit I was reffering to in the torture side was when grinding his fingers . scenes like that don't bother me just find to many films are going down that kind of torture route that's all. |

A BRIDGE TOO FAR (1977) September 17th 1944. Operation Market Garden. Largest airborne operation ever.35,000 troops dropped in Holland. It was the 70th anniversary of this historic event. So last night, as with every year on the date I watched the film. One of the last of the big all star cast movies and a tribute to the late Richard Attenborough. |

One dark night I remember seeing this at the cinema and forgot all about it. You're average typical low budget well kinda of horror that was floating about in early 80s, Doesn't rely on violence gore or action more off tension and atmosphere and at times it works. Its a very slow paced film where it concentrates more on the build and Everything happens towards the end . while it aint classic it certainly ain't a duff film either . And one I would pick up if Ii found a copy at a reasonable price. Certainly one that's worthy of a watch if you haven't seen it. Just bare in mind above comments I made about it being a slow burner etc. |

Tonights Italian directors Sergio Leone: GiĆ¹ la testa (A Fistful of Dynamite/Duck You Sucker/Once Upon a Time in the Revolution) (1971) This seems to have multiple English titles! Not as popular as Leones Eastwood spaghettis or even the masterpiece that is Once Upon a Time in the West, and it did drag a bit. Steiger played a similar character to Wallach's in The Good The Bad and the Ugly. Mario Bava: Reazione a catena (A Bay of Blood) (1971) Another Bava this week not as good as The Girl Who Knew Too Much I thought but I still enjoyed it. Beheadings, Poleaxing, cleaver to the face and skinny dipping! Whats not to enjoy?
