It sounds a little like Open Water, which I think is brilliant and The Reef, which I really enjoyed as well.

Are they similar in atmosphere, apart from the obvious, and did you like either of those films?

I liked them both. I can't actually remember much about The Reef though.

I much prefer suspense films like them to monstrosities like Bait.

The odd bit of grizzly violence aside this was unremarkable.
A shame you didn't like this one Dem. It was one of my viewing high-lights of last year.

In that case, it seems like something I would like. I haven't seen Bait, but it doesn't seem as if I'm missing out.

I'm also surprised you didn't like Green Room – I thoroughly enjoyed it and bought it shortly after renting it. It was the purchase that could, and should, have waited because it appeared in the sale section at HMV a couple of weeks after I bought it and I haven't even watched it yet!

I was expecting to like it just as i was Deathgasm. I saved them and watched them Christmas night and Boxing Day (night). Maybe my expectations were way too high for both films.

Sacrifical Youth

This is a great little film....a hardcore punk musical about corporate sellout and Jesus reborn as an Ian McKaye like straight edge saviour of the scene battling pop punk and Satan. Worth a look if you have Amazon Prime and love that early 80s American punk sound.
