The Jungle Book on some school holidays thing when I was 3, in 1986! That cinema got turned in to a night club after that, then we had to go to the local Odeon, which has also shut down, leaving us with a crappy Showcase on the outskirts of town.

I can't remember exactly what the first film was that I saw but my earliest cinema memory was Ferngully. My Nan took the siblings and I to the cinema at Lakeside, I can remember that warm fuzzy feeling of excitement I got. I knew there and then that cinema would be my No.1 source of entertainment. My first 18 was Scream 2. I used a fake ID to get in! (was 15 at the time). 2nd was The Exorcist when it was re-released.

I don't think I've ever seen a modern 18 rated film at the cinema - I've seen a few old 18 rated movies at various events but nothing new.
