I totally agree with you on that one. Watching Peeping Tom for the first time was a fantastic experience - I really think this film has not a single flaw.

Other perfect films, from the first to the last frame: George Franju's Eyes Without A Face , Michael Reeves' Witchfinder General, and John Carpenter's Halloween - and I'm only including Horror films now!

TLGF is indeed a brilliant film and my fave Brit gangster film
one of the things I liked about the film was the political storyline

This thread is great, being a superb illustration of the futility of considering perfection.

Many films mentioned here are good or mediocre (and a couple dreadful!) to me, yet clearly resonate with others to a level that I cannot begin to comprehend.
