Mostly drones and sounds, spooky sounding. Clint doesn't really do anything bombastic!

That film is a rarity as it's a horror with an 18 cert. Barely see them nowadays.

Has anyone watched Ben Wheatley's folky horror In the Earth?

Any good. It's out to buy October 25th on dvd and Blu.
It's "like" A Field In England, but in colour ahem.

Since I've been mostly checking out Alan Resnick's stuff and various podcasts this month, I might have a stab at this this time ahem.

No point then.

I'll save a tenner by watching A Field in England again.

I'm starting off early than planned

The Blob. 1958.

A meteor crashes and releases a giant jelly form of a blob that grows and terrorises a small town eating everyone in it's path.

Classic 50s B movie with Steve McQueen playing the teen rebel turned somewhat hero with Aneta Corsaut as the love interest and Earl Rowe as the easy going Lieutenant Dave who seems to let things slide when the kids are racing. it's a fun, campy and cheesy film but still entertains little old me

Beware The Blob. 1972.

A scientist brings back a sample of the blob from from the North Pole which it thaws out and goes on a murderous rampage.

I had no idea this existed until a few days ago and, seeing the credits come up with Larry Hagman (yes J.R. in a horror film), I wasn't sure what to expect then seen him credited as director I knew right away this was gonna be a corny flick.

This may not be the best sequel and certainly not the worst, it's always amazing that nobody listens to teenagers when danger is approaching, you have a Sheriff giving a speech on top of the frozen blob that you know it won't end well and Gerritt Graham prancing about in a monkey suit, that was comical. There is a few OTT scenes with people getting gobbled up by the blob, and a scout master showing kids how to chat up females when they drive by. Good for it's laughs.

Yes. You are a binge watcher!

I'm going to be three behind you and it's not even October yet.

So they don't count!
